Battery Safety

• Please be sure to read the instructions on your device before installing batteries. Make sure to insert the batteries properly and follow the symbols showing you the positive (+) and negative (-) ends.
• Keep battery contact surfaces clean by rubbing with a cloth.
• Replace batteries with the size and type specified by the device’s manufacturer.
• Store spare batteries in a cool, dry place. Remove batteries from devices that will be stored.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of small children, who may be tempted to swallow them.

When dealing with batteries, it is important to follow these guildlines:

• Don't dispose of batteries in a fire.  They may rupture or leak and cause personal injury.
• Don't carry loose batteries in a pocket or purse with metal objects like coins, paper clips, etc.
• Don't recharge a battery unless it is specifically marked 'rechargeable'.
• Don't mix old and new batteries.
• Don't expose batteries to water.
